Assassin's Creed Mirage Hands On Preview

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out later this week, and unlike Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla, it returns to the series’ trademark stealth roots. Of course, the story is also important since it follows Basim 12 years before the events ofValhalla. Though Ubisoft’s upcoming stealth action thriller Assassin’s Creed Mirageplans to return the series to its roots by revisiting Baghdad, an interview with senior developers on the title has revealed that the action game will be visiting yet another iconic location from the series’ past.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now just a week away from launch now, and though it won’t be long before players have their hands on the action-adventure title, there’s still plenty of hunger for new details. And new details have indeed emerged. With days left until the game’s launch, its full list of Trophies and Achievements has leaked, courtesy of PowerPyx, and as you’d expect from an Assassin’s Creed game, it’s quite a grindy Platinum.

It would seem as though the Trophy list for Assassin's Creed Mirage has appeared online, ahead of its launch next week. It contains a total of 51 Trophies, made up of 1 Gold, 15 Silver, 34 Bronze, and of course, an all-important Platinum. Overall, the list looks fairly straightforward, but it's probably going to require a good deal of grinding.

Assassin’s Creed fans are preparing to dive into a brand-new adventure this coming month. The next game was unveiled to take players to 9th-century Baghdad, where we will follow Basim Ibn Ishaq in his journey of becoming a member of the Assassin Brotherhood. While the game was initially set to release later in the month of October, the developers managed to get this game done ahead of schedule. Today, a new launch was released as we wait for October 5, 2023, to finally arrive.

Assassin's Creed Mirage brings players to Baghdad in 861, during its Golden Age when it was the cultural and technological epicenter of the region. The city feels alive with merchants, townsfolk, guards, palaces, and more. It's vibrant, lively, and, well, looks and sounds like a city. It's painted with hues of desert orange and «Arabian Nights» blue skies, something intentional, according to artistic director Jean-Luc Sala. 

Assassin's Creed Mirage is prepping for its October 5 launch and ahead of that, Ubisoft has dropped system requirements for the same. Unlike the norm with AAA PC games these days, this ninth-century Baghdad-set title appears to be rather forgiving on hardware, essentially going back an entire graphics generation. Running the game on Ultra settings does not require AMD's latest 7000 or Nvidia's 40 series cards. That said, the accompanying ‘PC Features' trailer shows Intel as its official partner, assuring that it's been optimised for the Arc GPUs and the respective 13th-Gen processors. This feels like a weird choice since it's not a really popular graphics card in the PC gaming community.

Interscope in partnership with Ubisoft are set to release Mirage (for Assassin’s Creed Mirage) music by OneRepublic featuring Mishaal Tamer. This is the first time the Assassin’s Creed® franchise collaborates with a top 50 global artist. This aligns with the dedication and effort that has been invested in Assassin’s Creed music over the years, resulting in a Grammy Award this year.

Prior to joining RPS and coming into a possession of an Actual Contemporary Gaming PC, I did all my gaming on a plucky Erazer laptop from circa 2014. The old warhorse has certainly had some adventures, to the point that it isn't really a laptop anymore but a hovering debris cloud of plastic and metal, constellated by strips of sellotape, from which a moving picture may be hesitantly conjured by means of sweary arcane rituals and the careful deployment of desk fans.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage arrives in just a few weeks, and the PC features and requirements for the Ubisoft Bordeaux/Ubisoft Montreal title have been revealed. The game isn’t terribly heavy, only requiring a GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT for 1440p High settings or a GeForce 3080/Radeon RX 6900 for 4K Ultra. PC features include the usual bullet points, such as ultrawide support, HDR, and uncapped framerates.
