Spider-Man vs. Venom is a rivalry that's been going on for over 30 years - but not quite like this, as Dylan Brock, the current Venom and son of Eddie Brock, is going toe-to-toe with Peter Parker's Spider-Man protege, Miles Morales, in January.

Insomniac Games has suggested fans will play a significant role in helping the studio decide where to take its Spider-Man series.
Released today exclusively for PS5, Spider-Man 2 continues the story the studio began with 2018’s Spider-Man and its 2020 spin-off Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Peter Parker and Miles Morales both take centre stage in the new game, with players swapping between the two Spider-Men as they team up to battle villains including Lizard, Kraven the Hunter and Venom.
Senior narrative director Jon Paquette, who has been story lead on all three of the studio’s Spider-Man games, touched on where the series might go next during an interview with Insider.
Asked about the potential for a Venom spin-off game, he said Insomniac will see how fans react to the latest title first.
“So, here’s what we’re doing. We’re focused on Spider-Man 2, and what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna wait to see how the fans react,” he said. “We’re gonna listen to the fans and we’re gonna ask ourselves, ‘Okay, what do the fans really want?'”
“We’ll kind of talk about stuff after we’ve all had time to sleep and take vacations,” he added.
Candyman actor Tony Todd voices the symbiote-fueled Venom in the new game.
“So, we brought Tony in and he submitted a few lines for kind of an audition. And it was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, this is the exact vibe that we’re going for.’ He fits it perfectly,” Paquette said.
He added: “I want this to be one of the best Venom stories you’ve ever experienced. We’ll see what the reviewers have to say.”
The Spider-Man 2 review embargo lifted on Monday and critics have heaped praise on the title, making it one of Insomniac’s highest rated games to date.
“Marvel Spider-Man 2 is an incredibly confident sequel and one of 2023’s best games,” according to VGC’s 5-star review.
As well as continuing to support Spider-Man 2 with new features, Insomniac is working on a Wolverine game for PS5. It will be a standalone title directed by Brian Horton and Cameron Christian, who were the creative leads on Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
The studio is also seemingly working on a third unannounced title.

The developers of hit PlayStation 5 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have said Miles Morales is the "main" Spider-Man from now on, which has caused some fans to speculate about what Insomniac may do with the inevitable Spider-Man 3.
Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has been a big win with fans. The highly anticipated PS5 game is arguably the best the industry has to offer, and it’s easy to see why. In a stroke of genius, Insomniac Games is giving you the ability to seamlessly switch between two beloved characters, Peter Parker and Miles Morales. It makes for fascinating gaming and keeps you hooked with its refreshing new take on the gaming experience. Alas, one flaw has become apparent, and fans have not been shy to voice their opinions on it. Fans and gamers have been hating on the superhero suit / costume worn by Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Although Kraven was briefly hinted at occupying the role of the ultimate antagonist in , in reality, that distinction goes to one of the most universally recognized antagonists from the Spider-Man franchise, the amorphous sentient alien symbiote, Venom. While numerous figures have held the unenviable role of playing host to Venom in the franchise's numerous movies, comics, and video games, in the dishonor belongs to Peter Parker and MJ's friend, Harry Osborn.

Almost a week since its release, Insomniac Games's Spider-Man 2 is still stealing our hearts (and hours).
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 last week and it's already Sony's fastest-selling first-party game ever. However, some players have spotted a mishap related to one of the game's main protagonists, Miles Morales. His mother is Puerto Rican, and Miles is too, which is why some players found it odd that a Cuban flag hung both inside the Morales home and outside of it. After pointing it out the mistake, developer Insomniac Games has revealed a fix is on the way, as reported by PushSquare.
Issue #5 of Spider-Man Unlimited Infinity finally addresses where The Avengers are in Insomniac Games' Spider-Man universe, as well as acknowledging that it's basically just Spidey in that version of New York City.
When a big game like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes out, you can’t help but ask certain questions about what might come next. We won’t spoil anything in this article, but fans are already wondering about the third main game in the series. There are teases that it could happen, and the game is likely to sell well, so Insomniac Games could easily jump into making a third main title. However, they could also jump into doing another spinoff title. They already made one via the PS5 title starring Miles Morales, which was canon but much shorter than the main games.
Spider-Man 2 has only recently hit shelves but already Insomniac is thinking about the future. The first Spider-Man game received a spin-off, Miles Morales, so it’s natural to wonder whether the sequel will also feature a sequel, perhaps this time starring Venom. According to senior narrative director Jon Paquette, Insomniac is waiting to see how the fans react before they decide on the direction of a possible spinoff.
