'Tis the season for holiday savings on games, as PlayStation has officially kicked off their massive Holiday Sale. The list of digital games included in this sale event is huge (you can check out every title available in the sale in their PlayStation Blog Holiday Sale post). It even features excellent new releases from this year that are well worth picking up, like Alan Wake 2 and even The Game Awards' Game of the Year winner, Baldur's Gate 3, has a slight discount.

Alan Wake 2 has enjoyed widespread critical acclaim and raked in the accolades since its launch in late October, but with the long-awaited survival horror sequel not having charted in October or November’s sales charts for the United States, and there having been no word from developer Remedy Entertainment or publisher Epic Games about how the game is selling, many have wondered whether its critical success has been reflected in its commercial performance as well.

Alongside unveiling its latest foundation model, Gemini, and making big claims about its capabilities, Google also released a demo video on YouTube, where a user can be seen doing various activities on a table, and the AI was able to recognize it instantly and verbally respond. The shocking video was met with awe because no one in the industry has been able to achieve such results from an AI model so far, and likely nobody will for a long time - including Google. It turns out the video was not entirely real and Google edited the Gemini AI demo video and added elements to make it seem more advanced than it really is.

Welcome to the busiest moviegoing season of the year, when films in theaters are actually worth trekking out to see and everything hitting VOD and streaming is… the movies that came out a few months ago that are also super worth checking out. Ack!

A new Minetest update just dropped. You hear plenty about updates that add new features to a game. It’s not that often that whole features are removed from the package the game ships with after release. Minetest 5.8.0 might be an exception, and it will improve your experience.

Nearly seven years after the game's announcement, Ubisoft Massive is finally about to release Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The first-person open world action/adventure game will launch on Thursday, December 7, for PC (Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
