A newly announced Stardew Valley mod seeks to introduce a variety of Baldur's Gate 3-inspired content to the game. The ambitious project could hence add to the ever-growing list of community-created Stardew Valley add-ons, assuming it manages to realize its avid aspirations.
The hit farming sim developed by Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has long enjoyed a lot of attention from the modding community. That's in part because Barone is a big proponent of modding, who has actively encouraged community content by consistently making Stardew Valley more modder-friendly since its initial release. Combined with the game's overall popularity, those efforts helped shape a vibrant modding scene that produced many amazing Stardew Valley mods over the years.
Another head-turning project has now emerged from that very same community in the form of Baldur's Village. Like its name implies, the mod seeks to extend Stardew Valley with the addition of an entirely new hamlet location inspired by Larian's critically acclaimed RPG. Several Baldur's Gate 3 characters are also planned to be part of the package, with its cast being confirmed to include Astarion, Shadowheart, Halsin, and Gale.
Much like the RPG that inspired it, Baldur's Village will allow Stardew Valley players to romance Astarion. The current plan is to treat Astarion to a «unique romance plot,» with one of the mod's developers saying as much in a recent tweet. The team is also considering the idea of making more characters dateable but hasn't yet committed to it, as per the same source. So far, the developers have managed to complete the art of the mod's map, in addition to modeling four new building styles. Astarion, Gale, and Shadowheart's artwork has also been completed.
The full scope of the Baldur's Village character roster remains unclear. The project itself is currently being developed by only three people, so it might take a while to see the light of day. Community efforts of this sort do have a tendency to fizzle out the more ambitious they are, although Baldur's Village developers do seem committed to seeing their plans through for the time being. The team is also currently on the lookout for translators, specifically those fluent in Chinese, who would be able to help them localize their writing «vividly.»
Baldur's Village is confirmed to incorporate some custom furniture assets by prolific Nexus Mods user HimeTarts. Should the developers manage to complete it, this Baldur's Gate 3-inspired project would add to the already substantial list of impressive expansion mods for Stardew Valley.

After a couple of months of consistent updates for , ConcernedApe has released yet another patch that adjusts the game and while it may not be massive in terms of content, it should make a particular kind of farmer very happy. The recent 1.6 Update was one of the biggest expansions to date, so it stands to reason that some bugs need to be squashed.
A Stardew Valley fan is sharing their concept for a Joja mod that could add a lot to the current experience of siding with Joja Corporation. While Stardew Valley has always had an option for players who would rather side with Joja Corporation, the route has been criticized in the past, as some players have felt there isn't much incentive to do a Joja Corporation runthrough. While that might be intentional, mods can always help to change the experience in the more dramatic ways that fans are hoping for.
