2.5D turn-based RPG Tales of Three Kingdoms: The Mortal World announced for PC

Last night brought a first look at Tales of Kenzera: Zau, a personal project from Abubakar Salim — the voice of Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins and star of HBO's Raised by Wolves.

Baldur's Gate 3 nabbed The Game Awards' coveted Game of the Year title, and Larian Studios founder and CEO Swen Vincke graciously accepted it wearing half a suit of shining armor. 

Warhorse Studios has confirmed the arrival of the Kingdom Come Deliverance Switch version in early 2024.

Happy Broccoli Games has announced Duck Detective: The Secret Salami, a 90 minutes-long mystery adventure game coming to PC via Steam in 2024.

We live in a time where remakes of games both old and not-so-old are quite common, and it seems another one of the latter variety is going to be announced soon.

Publisher PID Games and Thailand-based developer FairPlay Studios will release turn-based roguelite dungeon crawler The Land Beneath Us for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam in 2024, the companies announced. A limited-time demo is now available for Xbox Series via Microsoft Store until December 31 as part of ID@Xbox Game Demo Fest: Winter 2023.

I've had a careful eye on Demonschool ever since it was first announced at the PC Gaming Show in 2022. Combining a style inspired by the Persona games with unique turn-based tactics and truly striking 2D-meets-3D visuals, it's a project with fantastic potential. Publisher 3goo and developer Dimps Corporation have announced The Rumble Fish+, an enhanced version of the original fighting game The Rumble Fish for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch on December 20.

I haven't even played this unexpectedly adorable RPG where you play as a pocket knife-wielding mouse yet but I'm already in love. 

The expansion for Tales of Arise, Beyond the Dawn has been two years in the making. And while it doesn’t hit all the notes, it’s a fitting addition to an already fantastic RPG.

The Yakuza/Like a Dragon games are an annualized series, a new entry appearing every year since 2014, and sometimes two per year—as was the case in 2023, when Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio released both Like a Dragon: Ishin! and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. With so many games coming out, making sure they feel at least a little different, with changing protagonists, locations, and time periods, is essential. Changing the combat system was one of the most surprising shifts.
