Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Surpass a Combined 3 Million Sales | Push Square

Square Enix has revealed that its Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has surpassed a fairly impressive 3 million sales. Now, it's worth pointing out that this is a combined total of all six remasters, as each game can be bought separately. And just to recap, the original Final Fantasy through to Final Fantasy 6 were given the Pixel Remaster treatment. All of the touched-up titles were released on PS4 back in February.

The game – which first launched on Nintendo 64 almost 23 years ago – will use the latest version of the developer’s proprietary KEX Engine, meaning it’ll run in 4K at up to 120 frames-per-second, with a “higher tier of visual fidelity across 3D models, textures, and graphical effects”.

I don't like RTS games but I loved Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, and you can get it for free right now

I didn't have much hope for Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak. Homeworld is an epic, star-spanning tale of survival and triumph amidst the blackness and mystery of interstellar space; Deserts of Kharak, on the other hand, is locked into a single dusty world by the combined forces of gravity and insufficient technological advancement. How could that possibly compare?

Xbox Head Phil Spencer Gets Asked About Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasy fans know that if they want to enjoy the franchise’s latest games, they typically need to be on the PlayStation platform. It’s essentially the go-to platform for Final Fantasy games these days. However, a big move happened not too long ago in which Final Fantasy 14 was finally making its way to the Xbox consoles. That’s not a new game by any means. This MMORPG has been available since 2010. However, now Xbox is finally getting this game on their platforms. Could this just be the start?
