Total War: PHARAOH Gets New Deep Dive for Canaanite Faction

Game Developer Deep Dives are an ongoing series with the goal of shedding light on specific design, art, or technical features within a video game in order to show how seemingly simple, fundamental design decisions aren’t really that simple at all.

Immortals of Aveum has gone gold, and pre-loads are available for Xbox Series X/S and PC players (with PS5 going live on the 19th). In the meantime, a new video is available going more in-depth with the Talent Tree. Along with 25 Spells, protagonist Jak can also harness more than 80 Talents.

Total War Warhammer 3 DLC Shadows of Change is causing a rift among the game’s community, with many players, YouTubers, and even a former Warhammer producer at Games Workshop offering their thoughts on the expansion’s price point. The DLC brings three new lords to the vast strategy game and its epic Immortal Empires campaign mode, but the Total War Warhammer 3 update is proving too pricey for many.

EA Sports has released a new deep dive video for upcoming football game EA Sports FC 24. The deep dive video offers a look at the upcoming title’s Ultimate Team game mode, with subjects including Evolutions, the addition of women in Ultimate Team, Chemistry, Icon Chemistry, and other features. Developer Creative Assembly has announced that the next major DLC release for Total War: Warhammer 3, titled Shadows of Change, will be coming to PC on August 31. Check out the trailer for the new DLC below.

The Changeling is a shapeshifting daemon who, based on the latest Creative Assembly blog post, plays a totally different Total War.

Sega have formally unveiled the next steaming helping of Total Warhammer 3 DLC, Shadows of Change, which adds three Legendary Lords to this already-jam-packed strategy game: the Changeling for the demonic Tzeentch faction, Yuan Bo for Grand Cathay, and Mother Ostankya for Kislev, plus a brace of new campaign mechanics, units and battlefield abilities.

Total War Warhammer 3 Shadows of Change finally has a release date and full reveal, as the first of three upcoming Creative Assembly strategy game DLCs comes out later this month. There’s the Total War Warhammer 3 4.0 patch, free content, and the paid Legendary Lords, who we’ll break down below.

EA has released another deep dive trailer for EA Sports FC 24, diving into all the advancements and improvements to the game’s visual, animations and overall matchday experience over FIFA 23.
