New footage of the Tomb Raider remastered trilogy is currently MIA, but the developer is promising to share "plenty more" on the highly anticipated collection soon.
It's just over a month until Lara's earliest adventures are given a fresh coat of paint in the form of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered. The collection was a surprise announcement at Nintendo Direct back in September, but apart from that reveal trailer, which offered a mere 30 seconds of gameplay footage, we've seen nothing whatsoever of it.
For longtime fans, the return of these classics is a pretty big deal, and many have taken to social media to lament the lack of fanfare surrounding the release. "Tomb Raider I-III Remastered trilogy releases in a month and we've gotten like absolutely zero marketing for it," says @Halxton. "No promoted posts, no trailer retweets, no new screenshots/info, nothing."
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered has had zero promotion since it was announced. Guess it wasn't Square Enix failing in that department like everyone was assuming.
Greetings, Polygon readers!
Now see here Ollie Toms, supposed guides editor of this supposed videogames website - if Enshrouded really does have "the best building system in the survival genre" then why does the floor of my hovel look like a petrified sneeze? I was innocently carving myself a nice stone foundation last night when the Devil jogged my elbow and I dug a massive, raggedy trench straight through it. I've spent an hour now trying to fill in the trench and flatten it out, to no avail. There's always a jaggedy bit right in the middle, and I'm getting displaced trypophobia from the awareness that my efforts have seeded the terrain beneath with random cavities.
The Star Wars galaxy is vast and the cast of supporting characters that has emerged in the spinoff books and comics is surely in the thousands by now. But one stands out more than almost any other: Grand Admiral Thrawn.
A new Tomb Raider RTX Remix comparison video was shared online a few hours ago, highlighting the massive visual differences brought to the first entry in the series by path tracing.
It’s that time of year again! With January winding down, Nintendo fans await confirmation that The Big N is getting ready to present its first Nintendo Direct of the year! Ever since these started several years back, fans have been pumped for when the next one will arrive and what will be shown. This particular Direct will be important because it’s not just the first event of the year for Nintendo but because it’s presumably the last “full year” of Switch content. We only have one “original title” coming out via the Princess Peach game, and that seems pretty “light.”
A stunning Tomb Raider RTX Remix mod is now in the works, and from today, players can see how NVIDIA's tech improves the very first entry in the series with a free playable demo.
Sometimes, expansive universes and vast worlds collide; in this case, X-Men and Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Series collide to reveal an intriguing connection that few are aware of. Legendary voice actor and scriptwriter David Hayter is the bridge connecting these two worlds.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle uses first-person camera angles to create a "unique experience" that you won't find in other action-adventure games like Uncharted or Tomb Raider.
The leaks were right. Machine Games' next Nazi-biffer is called Indiana Jones And The Great Circle. It was shown for the first time during this evening's Xbox Developer Direct, where we got to see first-person punching and whipping, some tomb raiding, and plenty of Indy's face in cutscenes.
Along with a recent RTX Remix, the classic Tomb Raider games are about to come back in a pretty big way. Aspyr has been hard at work remastering the original three entries in the iconic series, and we’ve been given a bit of a breakdown of what’s to come.
As the release of the (deep breath) Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft approaches (yes, that is its full and official Steam title) on February 14th, developers Aspyr have detailed some of the game's new features over on the PlayStation Blog, and how they've approached bringing the art, controls and effects up to date for 2023. Personally, I'm extremely pleased to see they've added a photo mode, for example, as I spent inordinate amounts of time making Lara do creepy side-eye smiles during inappropriate Shadow Of The Tomb Raider scenes. But I'm also heartened to see they've kept in the original tank controls as an optional extra, alongside a more modern control scheme to make them more approachable.
