A Starfield player has made a strange discovery, after finding an NPC in the game who looks eerily like Spider-Man actor Tom Holland. Although Starfield has plenty of intentional Easter eggs hidden away for players to find, it isn't clear if this is just a coincidence or not.
As with any Bethesda game, discovering cool things like this is a core part of the experience. While Starfield has arguably come under more criticism than any single-player Bethesda RPG (not counting Fallout 76), it has still been interesting to see what the studio has included, with new things still being found all the time. Just recently, one Starfield player discovered a planet with serious Windows XP vibes, showcasing how varied a lot of the content has the potential to be. With some elements of Starfield's worlds being procedurally generated, it'll be interesting to see how much there is left to uncover for years to come.
Redditor Scientist_Myself shared this particular find, with the NPC Holden, located just at the entrance of The Den on Chthonia, bearing a striking resemblance to Spider-Man actor Tom Holland. It isn't uncommon for likeness posts online to somewhat miss the mark, but make no mistake: Holden looks a lot like Tom Holland. There are a few fan-favorite NPCs in Starfield, and Holden is sure to join those ranks as more in the community catch on to his resemblance to the actor.
Some in the thread even pointed out a spider located above Holden, but Scientist_Myself owned up to inserting that themselves to add to the Tom Holland illusion. Still, with the amount of great Starfield mods being released for the game, it certainly wouldn't be a huge surprise to see Holden altered to resemble the actor even more in the future, especially as more players become aware of the resemblance.
As for Starfield itself, nobody knows exactly what the future holds. Considering how divisive the base game is with a lot of hardcore Bethesda fans, Starfield's DLC has a lot riding on its shoulders. It'll be a big opportunity to win players back, setting the stage for a healthier Starfield community going forward. There's no doubt that the base game made a ton of money, but it remains unclear how many will return for Shattered Space.
