Spooky throwback Elder Scrolls 'em up Dread Delusion leaves early access in May

has just got a new storyline courtesy of one of the game's original quest designers. While it has been over 20 years since was released on PC and Xbox, the title is still praised for its open-ended, varied storytelling, and is still easily playable due to subsequent digital releases on PC launchers such as Steam, and Xbox's backwards-compatibility scheme.

Developer Pugstorm’s mining adventure Core Keeper has been going strong in Early Access, and it is en route to releasing in full on August 27, 2024. The news comes from a recent blog post by the developers, and you can check it out in its entirety through here and check out the release date trailer down below.

After delaying its early access launch to make room for playing Hades 2, Evil Empire has announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia will launch on May 27th. It will be available for PC via Steam Early Access. A new gameplay trailer is available, highlighting the smooth combat and some of the soundtrack, composed by ASADI. Check it out below.

Even as Nic spent this morning writing lovingly about frogs, I was watching trailers of frogs disintegrating beneath an unstoppable ant tsunami. The game in question is Empires Of The Undergrowth, an RTS from developers Slug Disco and Manor Lords publisher Hooded Horse. The 1.0 version launches on June 7th, after almost eight years in early access during which Empires Of The Undergrowth has accumulated positive user reviews with truly antlike meticulousness. Without any warning, Hades 2 has launched into early access on both Steam and the Epic Games Store for players to hack and slash through the levels. 

The Early Access release of Hades 2 has already more than doubled the all-time peak concurrent player count of the first game on Steam.

When No Rest for the Wicked was released in Early Access, there was excitement, bt it wasn't without issue. Initially, the game had a staggeringly unsteady frame rate and other technical issues — which is to be expected from a game in Early Access. But developer Moon Studio has rolled out patch after patch, rectifying these issues and more or less changing the game over a series of weeks. I had the opportunity to play No Rest for the Wicked in its earlier stages, marred by frame drops and freezes, and more recently, as the game itself has evened out. And what I’ve found lies beneath is a game that blends the isometric and action RPG genres together in a tantalizing way that could shape up to be something exciting, even if it isn’t exactly original.

First-person survival adventure game Serum will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 23, publisher TopLitz Productions and developer Game Island announced.

Roguelite action game Realm of Ink will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 17, publisher 663 Games and developers Leap Studio and Maple Leaf Studio announced. A full release will follow for unspecified consoles and PC later in 2024.
