Sony Might Have Just Internally Delayed Several PlayStation Exclusives

There is no shortage of video games fans are looking forward to playing this year. It’s been filled with incredible games, and the remaining few months of this year also have quite a stacked lineup. But for those who have been waiting on The Day Before, it’s been rather quiet. The developers have been going through their own hoops and obstacles to see their survival game launch into the marketplace. However, a series of delays have forced this game further into the tail end of 2023.

Sony's upcoming handheld game streaming device, announced at PlayStation Showcase in May, has a new name. The PlayStation Portal, earlier known as Project Q, will arrive later this year, enabling users to stream PS5 games remotely over a Wi-Fi connection. The PlayStation Portal remote player, as Sony calls it, will include an eight-inch LCD display capable of streaming games in 1080p resolution at 60fps. While a concrete release date is still missing, Sony's handheld now has a confirmed price — $199.99, or about Rs. 16,500.

Ahead of its early access release, originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, Airship Syndicate has announced that Wayfinder will be delayed for a further two days as the team is “ironing out some final issues” for players on PC and PlayStation. The exact nature of the issues plaguing Wayfinder at this late stage was not disclosed, but an apology has been issued to players eager to get into the early access version of the RPG game.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has been a big hit in the marketplace. While the game launched as an early access title, fans continue to pour in and enjoy the gameplay experience so far from the Gameloft team. The constant addition of new characters, areas, and quests makes this game so much fun for players. With this game centered around Disney, there are plenty of IPs that the developers could bring into the mix. For instance, we know next month, we’re getting the addition of Beauty and the Beast IP. But beyond that, fans might have picked up on some clues about what’s next.

There are some games we probably wouldn’t be all that surprised to be announced. Now that doesn’t mean there’s not a ton of excitement and hype built up from an announcement. However, there are some games that we are expecting new installments for. One of the game franchises that we are expecting another game but have yet to see an official reveal is a Borderlands 4. While the announcement has yet to make its way out, a new leak might have at least confirmed it’s being developed.

There is a lot of hype built around the next Call of Duty game. For a few weeks now, we had seen several leaks and reports suggesting that the next game would fall within the Modern Warfare series. That eventually was confirmed, and we also had since seen the reveal of when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III would land in the marketplace. But today, a new leak might have emerged online that stems back to the actual actor involved with the upcoming video game installment. I guess you can say this was a big mistake on this person’s part. But if you don’t want to get any spoilers potentially, it might be best to avoid reading on.
