If you somehow haven’t heard, many significant events are going on in Hollywood right now, and many of them are bad in the overall. We’re talking about the Writer’s and Actor’s Guild strike that has been happening for weeks/months, depending on the side you’re discussing. This is “bad” because, without writers or actors, pretty much all TV shows, movie productions, and more are being shut down, postponed, and more. The actors can’t even promote films that are coming up. So you might hear this and go, “What does Sonic The Hedgehog 3 have to do this?”

Since Sonic the Hedgehog first graced our screens over 30 years ago, the blue blur has been no stranger to featuring on merchandise themed after him. From toys, plushies, and even LEGO, you can find Sonic the Hedgehog on just about everything, but it’s PowerA’s new gaming controller that’s got us turning supersonic.

Who doesn't love special edition gaming accessories featuring their favourite video game characters? It's a neat little tribute to your favourite video game characters, and also makes your accessories stand out from the standard colour options. With that in mind, Sega has partnered with video game accessories brand, PowerA, to launch a line of Sonic the Hedgehog branded gaming accessories.

Murder has been comfort TV fodder for almost as long as there has been television. Standards like Murder She Wrote and Columbo and modern homages like Poker Face offer predictable rhythms and familiar characters — and the promise that the perp will always get caught in the end. All of those shows star detectives, oddballs, and misfits who I love to watch for hours on end, but none of those characters feel like my friends. The stars of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, though? I want them to get along with each other (and me, if they were so inclined) maybe even more than I want to see them solve a murder.

The initial product-line launches today and includes controllers for Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S, and a branded Nintendo Switch Protective Case

Sega dropped the trailer for the Sonic & Friends animated shorts series on TikTok.

Via Twitter (which I refuse to ever call “X”), Sega has revealed screens of the canceled Sega Saturn title, Sonic X-treme.

It might feel like a Baldur’s Gate 3 bug, but on further inspection, the Larian RPG game seemingly includes a feature whereby friends’ characters become locked into your party forever, even after they’ve left and logged out. Our Baldur’s Gate 3 review finds a lot to love in the new DnD-inspired sequel, but if you’re planning to jump into Baldur’s Gate 3 multiplayer, consider this a heads up – you may well find that one slot in your party becomes permanently occupied by your pal’s custom character, and that they are impossible to remove. Potentially, this could have long-term effects on your Baldur’s Gate 3 save.

Sonic Superstars is attempting to recapture that classic Sonic feeling, though it will be bringing a few new elements to the franchise. A villain named Trip is preparing to make her debut, and though she’s decked out in spiky armor, she won’t be your typical Sonic enemy. In an interview with Game Informer, Sonic Team creative officer Takashi Iizuka discussed a bit more about Trip’s origins and role in Sonic Superstars.

Monopoly isn't the only game to tear apart friendships.

Many gamers are excited about the upcoming Sonic Superstars for multiple reasons. The first is that the game is the first all-new 2D Sonic title in a very long time. SEGA had long since decided to stick with the 3D world versions of the franchise and see where it took them for better or worse. But now, they’re going back to their roots, and it looks fun. The second reason gamers are excited is that you can play as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy Rose and even play all four simultaneously via co-op. That’s a first for the franchise.
