For a number of years now, Sony has brought PlayStation to ChinaJoy, one of the largest gaming exhibitions in Asia. It's set to take part yet again in 2023, with the event scheduled between 28th and 31st July at Shanghai's New International Expo Center. So, what's Sony bringing to the showfloor?
A fair amount, actually. The platform holder will have a number of games for fans to experience, including a selection from its China Hero Project programme. Here's what will be in Sony's corner of the convention, as reported by Gematsu:
China Hero Project
First Party
Third Party
So, a pretty robust list of software, then. It's not clear whether Sony will have any kind of presentation at ChinaJoy or if it's simply present on the showfloor — we would assume the latter, given the company's seeming lack of interest in the former. Anyway, if you're attending ChinaJoy 2023, it looks like you'll have plenty to enjoy.

The original zero dawn or rumored remaster? Kind of weird to show off a 7 year old title
Lost Soul Aside is the big one I'm keeping an eye on. The Twitter account said that they will be showcasing a demo where people can play a level, so I hope we get to see new gameplay. Exiledge looks promising too. I'm also keen to see if Sony's going to announce any more publishing deals with some of their China Hero Project stuff.
ChinaJoy? Why? Almost any other place in the world would have been better.
@NotSoCryptic Why?
Not enough live service games for my taste
So sad to see everything being aimed at china now. Tragic
@Mikey856 don't worry, if there's a Russian games convention I'm sure Sony will be there too
Are some of those games only just releasing in China? I mean, I’d assume that Horizon would be censored to have any hope of releasing there, unless that ban only applies to ‘effeminate males’ as was stated in the bill and not lesbian relationships.
Looks like Sony is just mailing this one in. Don't worry, I don't care either Sony.
@Mikey856 Why? They have 1.4 billion people and consoles were banned for a long time so there's a huge market to reach there now. It's a smart thing to do and if we want the PlayStation brand to survive for a very long time then this is a good move.
I'm guessing you are against it because of the new red scare that the USA is pushing? Don't fall for all the propaganda man. Yes, China has their own propaganda but I always find it amusing that people from the West always bash their media for being fake news but then will be the first

Due out in just a couple of months on PS4 (on the 19th September in the US and the 22nd September in Europe), The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails has picked up a new gameplay trailer which is quite simply packed with charm. For those out of the loop, Nayuta is kind of a Trails series spin-off, although it has nothing to do with the storylines and characters from Falcom's flagship franchise.
