Great news for Marvel fans who also love free comics: the publisher is planning a new line of free comics which collect key issues meant to bring new readers into the current Marvel Universe, and to bring lapsed readers up to speed with what fan favorite characters are up to.

April 17's Roxxon Presents: Thor #1 is a tongue-in-cheek satire that offers up an exacting look at what the absolute worst case scenario of corporate comics can be, with the evil Roxxon Corporation, led by the vicious minotaur Dario Agger and powered by the Asgardian villain the Enchantress, having bought and warped all of Thor's adventures into the corporate synergy comic to end all corporate synergy comics.

Wolverine #48 brings part 8 of the Sabretooth War storyline. With just two issues left in both the title and story, which both conclude in May's Wolverine #50, Logan is healing up in bed after a fight with Sabretooth, who has built a whole army of his own Variants to kill Wolverine and everyone he loves.

The finale of Amazing Spider-Man: Blood Hunt arrives this July, and it could be spelling curtains for none other than Morbius. That's right, the just revealed solicit and cover for Amazing Spider-Man: Blood Hunt #3 could be teasing that the so-called 'Living Vampire' could soon become very dead.

But rather than playing the original Silver Surfer, Norrin Radd, she'll reportedly be playing a version of the character based on Shalla-Bal, Norrin Radd's lover and the ruler of the planet Zenn-La.

Doctor Strange and his latest team of Secret Defenders (or should we call them "party" of Secret Defenders) are currently trapped in a magical, Jumanji-esque RPG manual that has manifested its fantasy land in New York City, all under the control of Strange's archenemy Baron Mordo.

The newest release from the Marvel Multiverse Roleplaying Game is about to blend tabletop RPGs and comic books in a hands-on way with Deadpool Roleplays the Marvel Universe, a comic one-shot that's also a new standalone RPG adventure.

Marvel Comics has finally crowned the successor to the Sentry, one of the publisher's most controversial and embattled superheroes. But in a somewhat surprising twist, the new Sentry isn't actually a new "Sentry" at all.

The final two of four planned GI Joe limited series from Skybound Entertainment will focus on another pair of classic characters from the beloved franchise: Scarlett, and Destro. Alongside the current Duke and Cobra Commander limited series, these four titles will comprise the launch of the GI Joe portion of Skybound's new Energon Universe, in which the Real American Heroes exist alongside the Transformers in a shared continuity.

Ultimate Black Panther #2 escalates the conflict that started in Ultimate Black Panther #1, with T'Challa scouring his kingdom for whoever is responsible for his father's death in the attack on Wakanda that happened at the end of the first issue.

Ultimate X-Men #1 is here, launching the third title of the new Ultimate Universe. Stop the presses! James Gunn's new Superman movie has found its Daily Planet editor in chief Perry White in Wendell Pierce, best known for his roles in USA Network's Suits and HBO's The Wire, according to THR.

IDW's groundbreaking limited series, TMNT: The Last Ronin, was published between 2020 and 2022 and told the story of the last of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Michelangelo, as he embarked on a quest to avenge his three fallen brothers, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael. Hailed for taking the Turtles back to their grittier roots, The Last Ronin also set the stage for a new generation of turtles, whose adventures will take place in the time after the end of The Last Ronin.

Legendary All-Star Superman creators Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely look to be reuniting soon for an enigmatic new comic - at least, that's what Morrison is teasing.

Magneto is one of Marvel Comics' most complex and layered characters, with a long history as one of the publisher's top villains as well as several stints as a full-on mutant hero. In February 28's Resurrection of Magneto #2, Magneto's complicated nature is put on full display as the Master of Magnetism is confronted with the full weight of all the deaths he's caused - but also with the other side of the scale.

40 years after his original debut, the Toxic Avenger is returning to comics with a new series coming this fall from Ahoy Comics. The new comic, appropriately titled simply The Toxic Avenger, will be written by Matt Bors, founder of The Nib, and artist Fred Harper.

2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. And to celebrate, Marvel Comics is releasing the Star Wars: Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary Special one-shot comic.

Marvel Comics is billing this summer's Avengers and pals vs. vampires event Blood Hunt as the "bloodiest" in the publisher's history, even releasing a second poly-bagged version of the main limited series with more blood and gore. But it may also be one of the largest Marvel events in quite some time, with the publisher teasing more than 20 Blood Hunt tie-ins across limited series, one-shots, and included ongoing series, according to a teaser image that has slowly been filled in over the course of Marvel's announcements.

Following the announcement of six Blood Hunt spin-off limited series, Marvel has topped things off with two more three issue tie-ins - and the announcement of seven Blood Hunt tie-in arcs to current ongoing titles.

Marvel's Blood Hunt event is shaping up to potentially be one of the publisher's biggest stories in some time, with six spin-off limited series announced so far and more yet to come, to say nothing of ongoing series tie-ins and one-shots that are yet to be announced. 

Space Ghost has been announced as the newest title in Dynamite's line of cartoon based licensed comics, following the recently released Thundercats #1. Written by David Pepose with art from Jonathan Lau, Space Ghost was stealthily announced with an ad in the back of Dynamite's Thundercats #1. Writer Pepose confirmed the announcement a few days later with the release of a teaser image for the new series, seen below.

Superstar creators Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene are teaming up to tell the story of the Marvel supervillain fight of the century as they pit Doctor Doom against Galactus in a one-shot simply titled Doom this May.

It's official: the rights to Marvel Comics are now owned by the notoriously evil Roxxon Energy Corporation. The rights to the metafictional version of Marvel Comics that actually exists within the Marvel Universe, that is, which, much like the real world Marvel Comics, tells the tales of superheroes such as Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, and of course Thor.

It's a little bit later in the month than usual, but Marvel Comics has finally dropped its full April 2024 solicitations, including several big new debuts, and the launch of the much-hyped Blood Hunt event.

Well you're about to learn a whole lot, as Dark Horse Comics will publish a new prequel comic that explores Skeletor's backstory, and how it relates to his fellow villain Hordak.

Creepshow started in 1982 as a feature film written by Stephen King, and now King's son, writer Joe Hill, is returning to the Creepshow franchise with a story of his own as part of Skybound Entertainment's Creepshow comic book line based on the current Shudder streaming series.

Skybound Entertainment's Universal Monsters line of comic books will expand this April with Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives!, a four-issue limited series that will serve as a full-on sequel to the original film series, including a very classic looking take on production artist Millicent Patrick's beloved Gill-man design. The series arrives just in time for the original 1954 film's 70th anniversary.
