Overwatch 2 is now Steam's "worst game of all time"

There have been a few Paper Mario clones on the market, but none of them have quite nailed the combat flow of the fist two entries. Bug Fables came the closest of matching the tone and art style, with the combat coming pretty close as well. One thing that hurt it though was the all-bug cast and that making it a little harder to get into the story and the attempted drama.

Overwatch 2 was released on PS5 and PS4 back in October of 2022, and the shift to free-to-play drew massive crowds initially, but deeper issues were quickly discovered. The player base has been declining ever since, which is fairly normal for service games, but what's new for Blizzard is the great equaliser: Steam.

Blizzard has acknowledged player «dissatisfaction» after Overwatch 2was review-bombed into oblivion when it released on Steam last month, swiftly becoming the game with the lowest-ever user score on Steam.

Blizzard has opened up about the impact Overwatch 2 «review bombers» have had on the team, acknowledging that the «dissatisfaction» stems from «the cancellation of the much larger component of PvE that was announced in 2019 [...] that Blizzard ultimately couldn't deliver».

Overwatch 2 has the ignominious honour of becoming the worst user-reviewed game on Steam ever, although its recent launch on the platform has seen tens of thousands of players.

After a well-received first season, the has been in high demand by the fans. It was among the best superhero shows of 2022 and continued Christopher Smith’s story after The Suicide Squad. But is there a second season for Peacemaker? When is it coming out?

Overwatch 2 has made history by becoming the worst-reviewed game on Steam. Publisher Blizzard, which usually kept its PC games locked to the Battle.net client, brought its team-based shooter to Steam on August 10, only to be flooded with negative reviews. At the time of writing, merely nine percent of the overall ratings (111,234) are positive, with many criticising the title's approach to locking heroes and cosmetics behind a battle pass and the cancellation of its long-advertised PvE mode. While Blizzard might have expected some backlash, this reception must've been eye-opening for them, given Battle.net did not have a review system in place.

In just three days, Overwatch 2 has become Steam's worst-rated game of all time.

It’s hard to remember a time when Overwatch 2 wasn’t mired in controversy, and criticisms surrounding the game has only grown more widespread as time has gone on, whether that’s because of its controversial PvE changes, its monetization approach, its lack of promised features, or any number of other issues. And that, unsurprisingly, is being reflected not only in a dwindling playerbase, but also in overwhelming criticism from those who’re sticking around.

Blizzard Entertainment's first step towards Steam has met with huge criticism, as Overwatch 2 has already become the worst-reviewed title on Valve's platform.

There are a lot of arcade-influenced racers on the market, but few that would actually completely work in an arcade. New Star GP is one such game. In the vein of classics like Virtua Racing and Daytona USA for arcade fans and Hotshot Racing, it’s a checkpoint racer with some twists because it’s a PC game. As a result of the platform it’s on, it’s available in early access for a lower price point – $17.99 gets you the game with all of its current content and future free updates as well. One problem a lot of the classic arcade racers have had was a lack of content – outside of games like the OutRun games and home conversions of Daytona adding in more tracks, they usually are a bit lean while Hotshot had some big free content updates over the years to keep it fresh.
