Gargoyles Remastered, based on the 1995 Sega Genesis game, gets a release date

As TikTok gets more popular, researchers at leading academic institutions want to study what users are doing there. Publicly, the company says it's open to this, and is partnering with academics. But researchers said so far, the video app's rules about data are too burdensome.

Star Wars Outlaws creative director Julian Gerighty will take a new role at Ubisoft once that game is done: executive producer of everything Tom Clancy's The Division. That includes oversight of all the Division-branded games: The Division 2, The Division Heartland, mobile game The Division Resurgence, and, what's this? The Division 3, which Ubisoft casually announced in the press release about Gerighty's new job.

Look out, Straw Hats. A new Netflix title has overtaken One Piece as the streamer's most-viewed title of last week: rom-com Love at First Sight. 

Sega’s next game in the Like A Dragon franchise, formerly known in the West as Yakuza, is coming in January. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth sends the franchise to Hawaii, where protagonist Ichiban Kasuga travels in search of his mother, only to wind up penniless and at rock bottom. Former Yakuza hero Kazuma Kiryu is also playable in Infinite Wealth, and based on Sega’s first gameplay trailer for the next Like A Dragon game, everything the duo will do is beyond ridiculous.

Hideo Kojima once claimed that “70% of my body is made of movies.” The renowned creator of the Metal Gear franchise and Death Stranding, Kojima has never made it a secret how heavily his work is indebted to his love of movies, so it’s no surprise that he paid a visit to the Criterion Collection’s New York headquarters and offered his own closet recommendations.

Marvel revealed a flurry of teasers yesterday in advance of the company's panel at New York Comic Con. These included announcing the end of the Krakoan Age for the X-Men, Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña’s "startling new vision" for the Avengers and, most eye-catchingly, the resurrection of Magneto. 

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has come away with the most viewed trailer of Sony's latest State of Play livestream, completely dwarfing the numbers Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has managed to record. At the time of writing, the PS5 game has got 2.5 million views on its new Expanded Marvel's New York trailer, which is considerably more than any other trailer included in the presentation combined on the PlayStation YouTube channel.

It explains how you'll swap between playing as each Spider-Man, what optional activities look like and how you'll find them, and a hint at side quests.

No matter which graphical performance setting Spider-Man 2 players decide to opt for, ray tracing will be included as standard.

Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and developer nDreams have announced that Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord will release for PlayStation VR 2 and Meta Quest 2 and 3 headsets just in time for Halloween on 26th October. Marking the announcement, here’s a brand new gameplay trailer from last night’s State of Play.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is still a little over a month away, but a new round of previews has given us a whole lot more info about this new version of New York and what players can expect to do and find while zipping across the city. For example, we discovered that the backpack collectibles from both the first game and Spider-Man: Miles Morales have been removed in favor of small Spider-Bots that you can find throughout New York.
