Dragon’s Dogma 2 is promising to be an absolutely massive experience, and while it doesn’t look like there will be any shortage of excellent content even if you decide to stick to its main story, Capcom is still tucking away a bevy of optional content for players to find and engage with. The developer has unveiled another slice of that – courtesy of a new video by IGN – in the form of Sphinx, a completely optional and mysterious enemy that will test players in entirely unique ways.

There are a few games that are so unusual and incredible that I wish I could erase my memory and play them again for the first time. While I haven’t figured out a way to achieve that goal, there’s a fun alternative — find projects inspired by those games, and appreciate them. Buckshot Roulette, a game made by Mike Klubnika, is a perfect example of this.

Ironwood Studios’ Pacific Drive is a road trip game about taking a drive through a disintegrating, irradiated reality; it’s as if American Truck Simulator was set in a lonely, survivalist version of Fallout. Transported — either accidentally or on purpose, it’s not clear — into the Olympic Exclusion Zone somewhere among the wooded slopes of the Pacific Northwest, the nameless player character must pilot a dilapidated station wagon deeper into this territory, where gravity and matter obey their own rules.

Now I don't even bother breaking down any 5 star relics or ornaments just in case it turns out to be a god roll for an upcoming character. I'm trying to complete difficulty 4 of G&G but this is some serious BS, all my characters except for sustain keep getting taken out in a couple of shots at the 2nd domain bosses. The damage they dish out is totally broken. They're not even 90+ like in MoC and I have all these curios and blessings and still get smashed like glass.

Seeing as you haven't labelled which category it is I have to ask what your second picture «Night Flight» is @TemporalSword… I'm going to assume landscape?

@BearsEatBeets @LN78 Have no idea, as I've not seen the film in god know how long and don't remember that scene.

@Ralizah well done — it’s hard to cut all that crap. I dialled it all way down recently, but I can’t stay off it completely (and tbh I don’t really want to — I like pigging out in junk every now and then). I’m basically just eating a lot more fruit, veg and fish and try to avoid things with lots of ingredients. If I’m cycling a lot, I just tend to eat whatever is at hand though… I only weigh 69kg mind you.

@Ravix Hogwarts does really open up later on once you get out onto the map. In fact, there were parts of the map that I hadn’t even seen after 50-60 hours. The scale isn’t the largest ever, but it’s plenty big. In fact, each area ends up having similar types of side content, so it’s best to space it out and do some exploration, then advance some story, then a little exploration and side content, then advance the story, and so on. That way it won’t get too samey for you. But they intro new mechanics a decent pace and so it does keep it fresh. I think my final playtime was close to 80 hrs and I didn’t quite get the platinum because I did run out of steam on some of the rote side activities, some of which there’s a bazillion of out there.

@Thrillho Haha I had exactly the same experience, and managed to avoid combat completely! My tav is a 'Charismatic Rogue' (dumped INT and put points into CHA) so I'm passing most/all checks pretty easily, alongside being proficient in persuasion/deception. I would have liked to have re-loaded for the actual fight, but camp supplies are short so I'll leave them in the ground as they are! Such a mad game, love it

XCOM and Marvel's Midnight Suns director would love to do a life simulation game because they feel "original" and "authentic."
