A Disney Dreamlight Valley player has taken the creative tools given to them and made a Vault worthy of the Fallout universe. The inspired build has impressed fellow fans and arrives during a time of major Fallout hype with the release of the Fallout Prime Video series.
On the surface, Disney Dreamlight Valley and the Fallout series couldn't be more different. Disney Dreamlight Valley is primarily a light and cheery game, centered around the many characters of Disney and Pixar's works, while Fallout is a game focused on the aftermath of a nuclear war. However, Disney Dreamlight Valley gives players a veritable playground worth of tools and options to build what they like, and as with any other sandbox-esque game, fans come up with all kinds of unusual things.
Over on Reddit, user Foxtrotveritas7 shared their homage to Fallout with fellow Disney Dreamlight Valley players. Foxtrotveritas7 built a small Fallout shelter vault for themselves consisting of a common room, personal bedroom, classroom, and a reactor room. The rooms are all decorated with furniture and items that have a classic retro style, similar to that seen in the games and recent Fallout TV show. Additionally, the player and a few mannequins scattered throughout the vault are wearing a blue wetsuit and brown lace up boots that look extremely similar to the classic Fallout Vault Dweller's jumpsuit outfits from the series.
While some might think that there wouldn't be much crossover between fans of the grisly and dark Fallout series and Disney Dreamlight Valley's cheerful aesthetic, quite a few players have shared how impressed they are. Several of them applauded the creation while sharing their appreciation for the series and the new show. Foxtrotveritas7 noted that they were watching the show and enjoying it too, but were also eagerly beginning a new playthrough of Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas. Fans also wondered if the blue wetsuit was an intentional reference to Fallout by Disney Dreamlight Valley developer Gameloft, no matter how unlikely it might seem, as the similarities are so striking.
Plenty of Disney Dreamlight Valley players have taken it upon themselves to recreate areas and worlds from similarly-themed franchises, but projects like Foxtrotveritas7's Fallout build steer into darker worlds. Another recreation with a similar dichotomy is one fan's version of the Breaking Bad universe in Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete with the iconic RV, Walter himself, and even a blue crystal taking the place of Walter's usual product. Whenever players are given freedom to build what they like, the creativity expressed often has no bounds.
