Capcom is looking on the bright side for prehistoric shooter, Exoprimal.

Exoprimal isn't doing too shabby, says Capcom. In its latest quarterly earnings call, the company updated investors on expectations for its latest releases, including its new dinosaur-themed multiplayer shooter.
«Given that this game is an all-new IP, the situation is not without its challenges,» Capcom told investors. «However, we view the fact that the game has amassed over 1 million players to be positive.»

«Going forward, we will continue to release content for the game while monitoring player behavior with an eye toward expanding sales.»
As an all-new IP, Exoprimal doesn't have the same built-in fanbase that a series like Street Fighter 6 would have. However, it seems to be doing well enough at the moment that Capcom has faith in its continuing success. Capcom doesn't see it being «unprofitable» at this time.
Exoprimal received middling reviews following its July launch, adding up to mean score between 67 and 73 on Metacritic. In its Exoprimal review, GameSpot praised the variety of exosuits and upgrades, and the different dinosaurs that kept matches fresh. However, the opening hours and story weren't as compelling as our reviewer hoped and the progression didn't offer enough to feel significant.
Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 is thriving. Capcom declined on internal budget specifics, but disclosed that it expects Street Fighter 6 to surpass Street Fighter 5 in lifetime sales.
Exoprimal is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It's also available on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

It’s hard to believe, but it looks like the voice of Mario in video games will soon be a bit different. Taking to Twitter today, Nintendo has revealed that the actor who was responsible for Mario’s voice for decades now is stepping back. From now on, it looks like Charles Martinet will not be the voice of Mario. However, it’s noted that Charles will be stepping into the role of Mario Ambassador. We’re not sure who will take the mantle in the future, but plenty of previous lines can likely be used in the meantime.
Remember last month, when Bethesda put out a series of animated Starfield shorts that, presumably, contained some kind of important narrative content? I've kind of glossed over that stuff, because all I paid attention to were the battling mechs it showed off: Bipedal, human-operated war suits caked in grease and diesel that look incredibly cool as they pummel the hell out of one another. It led me, and plenty of others, to ask if we might get a shot at piloting these titans ourselves when Starfield finally releases.
Crimson Desert was announced nearly three years ago at this point, and though it turned a few heads at the time with its promise of a sweeping, single player action RPG experience, the fact that there have been little to no updates on the game in the time since then has raised a few eyebrows. It turns out, however, that Pearl Abyss is finally ready to showcase the game once again.
Despite all the Pokémon news we got at last week's Pokémon Presents live stream, it seems Game Freak and The Pokémon Company had even more news on Scarlet and Violet's upcoming DLC. Through a new trailer that premiered at the Pokémon World Championships last weekend, we've learned that The Indigo Disk, part two of the DLC, will have returning favorites, brand-new moves, and a mysterious nineteenth Tera Type.
