No matter how good a console might be, your experience with it can always be enhanced via accessories. Even if that console is the 130 million-unit-selling Nintendo Switch. CRKD released one of the best Switch accessories to date last year, the Nitro Deck. Available in an array of colors and a handheld accessory that doubles as a pro controller. That accessory has now been improved upon via the Nitro Deck+, and you can pre-order the latest offering from CRKD right now.
The premise of the Nitro Deck+ is the same as the original accessory. A device compatible with a regular Switch or the OLED model that your console's screen slots into, making it more comfortable to hold and adding features like mappable back buttons. CRKD has enhanced the Nitro Deck experience by listening to feedback and implementing the most requested changes in the Nitro Deck+. The right thumbstick's position has been adjusted, and two new 'sidekick' buttons have been added along with the returning mappable back buttons.
The best new feature of all, in my opinion, is the ability to use your Nitro Deck+ in both handheld and docked mode without the need to use your regular Switch dock. An integrated USB-C output in the Nitro Deck+ means you can connect it directly to your TV, and there's a USB-C to HDMI cable included with the accessory which means you can do that without having to own or buy any additional leads.
The Nitro Deck+ is CRKD's upgraded version of the regular Nitro Deck. The newer model adds side buttons to the pre-existing mappable back ones, an adjustable rumble feature, and USB-C to HDMI capability so it can be connected directly to your TV.
The Nitro Deck+ also has a new easy eject system meaning you don't need to exert any force on your Switch screen to remove it from the Deck. Another big positive for me is the tweak to its rumble. The original Deck's rumble was a one-size-fits-all approach, whereas the Plus's rumble can be adjusted to suit the user and the game you're playing. Available in clear black or clear white, you can pre-order the Nitro Deck+ through the link in the box above. It's expected to ship in April.
CRKD has been busy in 2024 as the Nitro Deck+ joins its growing library of top-tier Switch accessories. Coming soon is its range of Neo S controllers. Described as a sister accessory to the Nitro Deck, there are nine designs available, three of which were created by PopeArt. The regular Nitro Deck is also available in three new colors, headlined by the Retro Pink model.

When the end of the world comes (and it will), I like to imagine that in the midst of all the rubble and chaos, people will still be playing Skyrim. There doesn’t seem to be any way that people won’t tinker with the game and in this instance, we get to see dead technology being revived in order to play TES5.
Much like a run-of-the-mill gaming PC, Valve’s Steam Deck handheld is a highly customizable piece of kit, allowing users with the technical know-how to tweak its settings, hardware, and software, including creating unique custom intro startup videos.
