Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector Announced for Xbox, Day One Game Pass Launch Confirmed

As we heard earlier this summer, Microsoft’s venerable Xbox Live Gold service is going away, to be replaced with Xbox Game Pass Core and the company has now revealed the transition is coming… tomorrow! Xbox Game Pass Core will essentially be the same as Xbox Live Gold, but will also come with a select library of games – a smaller lineup than the one you get with a regular Game Pass subscription, but there’s still some worthwhile stuff on the list. Gears 5, Halo 5, Grounded, Psychonauts 2, Fallout 4, Vampire Survivors, and more. There’s also a nice emphasis on fun, evergreen multiplayer stuff like Among Us, Overcooked, and Unpacking, to name a few. You can check out the full list, below.

A couple of months ago, Microsoft unveiled Game Pass Core, a cheaper tier of its subscription service that will replace Xbox Live Gold, while also bringing a smaller, more curated catalog of titles for subscribers as compared to other Game Pass tiers. Now, with the new tier of the service set to launch tomorrow, on September 14, Microsoft has revealed the full lineup of games that will be available at launch.

For the first time, the new iPhone model you buy on the launch day could be made in India. Apple Inc. plans to make the India-built iPhone 15 available in the South Asian country and some other regions on the global sales debut day, people familiar with the matter said. While the vast majority of iPhone 15s will come from China, that would be the first time a latest generation, India-assembled device is available on the first day of sale, they said, asking not to be identified as the matter is private.

It’s a little bit funny to think that, while Starfield features a brand new sci-fi galaxy to explore, it was also almost jokingly a known quantity for gamers well before launch. Bethesda Game Studios has a type of game that they make, and while Starfield’s story is of an adventure to find the unknown, the actual game itself feels immediately familiar.

Solar Ash was announced as part of wave 1 of Microsoft’s Game Pass releases in September, launching on September 14th for Xbox, PC and the cloud. The new games coming to throughout the first couple of weeks of September 2023 have been announced. As the highlight is undoubtedly Bethesda’s new space-exploration RPG Starfield, those who aren’t interested in that game will find very little else on offer for this period.

Microsoft has revealed the lineup of games that will be added to Game Pass in the first half of September, and there’s quite a few notable titles for subscribers of the service to look forward, starting with Nomada Studio and Devolver Digital’s platforming adventure title Gris, which is available on Game Pass today, on cloud, console, and PC.

Starfield officially arrives September 6, but it has already begun breaking records on Steam. The expansive space RPG hit an all-time peak of 248,632 concurrent players, at the time of writing, which goes to show how impatient players have been for Bethesda's latest. For the uninitiated, those who aren't willing to wait for the official launch can purchase the Rs. 6,699/ $100 Premium Edition of the game and play it early. This is applicable across both Steam and Xbox platforms, with even Game Pass members willing to fork over $31.49/ Rs. 2,519 for early access, despite the title being essentially free for them.
