I just finished You Can't Win by Jack Black. Overall, I thought it was an excellent read. Great bird's eye view of the criminal underworld of the 19th/early 20th century. Now onto James by Percival Everett, I think that one should be good too, @Elodin .By the way, have you heard of his other book 'The Trees? I heard about it earlier and it sounds like it would be worth reading also.

@Black_Swordsman I have not. I'll check it out. Thanks!
Finished Snakehead(Goodreads page), the fourth book in Peter May's «China Thrillers» series. While nowhere near as good as his «Lewis Trilogy», they are nonetheless an entertaining and easy read, and this entry is no exception. Moving the action from China to the USA for this novel hurts it somewhat, as what made this series somewhat different disappears to a degree, but it's still a good read and I gave it three and a half stars in my Goodreads review.
Next up is the new novel from Stuart Turton, The Last Murder at the End of the World (Goodreads page), not to be confused with the similarly named recent TV series.
Turton impressed me with his debut novel, The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle* (Goodreads page) which I loved due to it being a fun twist of the Groundhog Day formula combined with a «murder in a mansion» mystery, so expectations for this new novel are high
(* was released as «7 Deaths [..]» in certain markets).

Just finished The Horus Heresy: Fulgrim and have now begun First Heretic
@Elodin I finished James by Percival Everett. Thanks for the recommendation. I found it a thoroughly riveting and mind-expanding read, Gonna try Telephone, by the same author, at some point in the future, but onto a Jungian work of literature directly, The Deptford Trilogy by Robertson Davies.
How is your Star Wars book coming along?

I finished Jurassic Park, fantastic book, noticed while reading the book that the sequels have scenes from the book reworked to fit those stories. Will get on to The Lost World soon.
Next up Brave New World by Aldus Huxley.
@FuriousMachine I recently picked up the China series for cheap and gave Firemaker to a colleague since I got a brand new copy. Can't wait to crack open the 2nd book!

Watched «Indiana Jones and the Dial.of Destiny» again. It's going to be one of those movies that I'm constantly re-writing in my head whenever I rewatch it — there are so many minor (and a couple of major) gripes that I have with it that surely would've been ironed out with another couple of passes at the screenplay — it's just weirdly sloppy given its position in such a lauded franchise.
@Elodin They can be a mixed bag, Star Wars games, so I hear. But yeah, I'd be interested in how you find Survivor (haven't played yet either) after playing the first one, apparently the story picks up straight away from the end of Fallen Order, which I finished, and really enjoyed. Anyway if I don't speak to you before you pick Survivor up again then I hope Dragon's Dogma 2 goes well for you.

@RR529 Enjoy! The way you described Wicked City reminded of the Cryin Freeman manga I watched back in the day, sans the demons and supernatural elements.

The Pedestrian I normally don't have the patience (or mental ability) for puzzle games as I tend to give up when frustrated but I've been enjoying this one, albeit in small sessions. I like the way it doesn't really explain anything but still remains quite simple to grasp the new mechanics introduced in different areas. I also like how solving fairly simple puzzles makes me feel like a genius! Its quite a pleasant change of pace for me at the moment.
@LN78 I’d rather sit through an extra 2 hours than ever see Gal Gadot attempt humour again. Or that scene with Flash falling on top of Wonder Woman. And that random Russian family for some reason? I dunno, that original cut is just so offensively terrible that anything is better, even 4 hours.
@QualityGeezer Klopp was unbeaten at Goodison before tonight too which makes it seem worse. Some of the recent performances have been shocking, especially from the forward players. Forgot Salah was on the pitch for large parts of the game tonight. The Palace result was great for me fantasy-wise but it's small consolation.
I had an amazing cheese and bacon burger in a London restaurant recently. The stuff of fables. I would share the location but I don't want every one going there!
@BearsEatBeets Christ, I didn't think Lewis going to Ferrari surprise story could be topped this year but...
