Blaze announces Evercade product refresh with two new, cheaper systems

Though Klei Entertainment’s Rotwood launched to some praise on Steam last Friday, it’s since fallen into the “Mixed” category, with only 69 percent positive reviews. The development team is aware of criticisms surrounding the difficulty and released a patch yesterday to tone down the Frenzies and nerf some enemies. It also adds a public group for easier matchmaking with other players.

One of the highlights of any RPG is its leveling and skills system, especially if a title lets the player create their own, custom character. Different games take different approaches to this, with the more traditional titles taking inspiration from the TTRPGs of old by using classes. Others attempt more modern approaches, using skill point allocation or even usage improvement systems to allow people to play exactly what they want.

Capcom has announced that it will be delisting Dark Void, Dark Void Zero, and Flock! from Steam on May 8th. It has not yet confirmed if this delisting will also occur on the Xbox store but it does seem likely. If it does then Dark Void and Flock! will be impacted on that platform, as Dark Void Zero was not released on Xbox platforms. Dark Void was already delisted from the PlayStation store, but Flock! is still available.

Lego's partnership with Nintendo to turn Mario and elements of the Mushroom Kingdom into sets has enjoyed massive amounts of success since the range's introduction in 2020. It only makes sense that more Nintendo IP would eventually be turned into Lego, and picking the series responsible for the second-best-selling Switch game ever was the next logical step. UK studio and publisher Kwalee has revealed recent staff cuts were made to «reshape» the company's business around «significant growth opportunities.» The company has layed off approximately 10% of its workforce, around 40 people, in recent months. Despite that, Kwalee stressed it expects to grow its headcount (currently about 400) to somewhere between 410 and 420.
