Pearl Abyss has a new Black Desert Online update, and updates from recent “Late Night Talks” where they unveiled some responses to community feedback, plans, and new items out starting today.
The latest update Includes part one of the promised adjustments to each class. This first round focused on modifying damage and HP recovery for a more balanced combat system. While they promise to keep adjusting for all classes to get it right, the first goal was intended to improve the hunting ground experience before setting out to do more.
Another area seeing improved experience is in terms of the Dark Rifts. They actually reduced the number of Dark Rifts and the number of bosses you'll have to reach while also keeping increased drop rates for boss gear crafting materials.
Pearl Abyss has also cleaned up the ocean a little, removing some reefs and increasing navigability. Auto navigation to some regions gets improved too. Overall, this patch is mostly concerned with balance changes as well as listening to feedback on the player experience.
So we come to the Late Night Talks.
On the way are a full-time practice mode for Arena of Solare. Expect that this month, while later, there will be an invite-only custom made added. It will have no matchmaking and also feature an observer function. The Arena of Solare changes are somewhat patterned after the Arena of Arsha. The Arsha server will get changes too, with more freedom to fight. You'll be able to fight without knowing your opponent and also with guild members.
There’s a Farming outfit out today, along with changes coming to outfit releases. Instead of releasing say, a female class outfit for some in one update and male class outfits for some on another day, they’ll be released for all classes at once.
While the ocean got some care in today’s patch, more content is on the way. We’ll get a reveal of Guild Galley ships this month and first mate sailors later. Pearl Abyss is also promising increased accessibility to the Black Shrine, Magnus, and more, along with more content getting streamlined for a better player experience.
There’s a lot more on the way, and you can dive into the full wrap up to get a taste of the very wide-ranging releases and changes coming to Black Desert Online. Plus, we'll probably learn much more at the Calpheon Ball in a few weeks.

Yesterday, a massive sunspot spanning 200,000 kilometers containing as many as 12 dark cores was reported on the Sun. As per information from the NASA Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO), there was a high chance that it could explode at any moment, and that is exactly what happened just an hour ago. An M-class solar flare was seen erupting on the sunspot, whose extreme ultraviolet radiation sparked a short-wave radio blackout on the Earth. While NASA has not been able to confirm the presence of any Earth-bound coronal mass ejection (CME), this information should be revealed in a few hours' time.
