With Starfield nearly upon us, Bethesda has shifted its promotional efforts into high gear. As usual, that means giveaways, gameplay trailers, and interviews with the media. The effort also has led to cool swag for some of the game’s most dedicated fans. If you play your cards right, you might win a Starfield watch for yourself in a new Bethesda giveaway.
Announced on the official Starfield site, the promotion gives multiple fans a chance to win a themed watch from now through the end of October. Provided things go as planned, there will be 15 winners in total. Each winner will secure a watch with an approximate retail value of $219.99 USD.
To participate in the giveaway, eligible parties should register to join Constellation during the promotion period. It starts today, August 25. At the end of August, September, and October, Bethesda will randomly choose five people who registered during the preceding month. If you have already joined Constellation ahead of the promotion, the official Constellation Watch promotion rules state you’re automatically entered to win.

Fans who wish to purchase the watch outright can instead acquire it as part of the game’s ‘Constellation’ edition. The package is one of the various Starfield editions available. It retails for $299.99 USD. That’s if they can still find a copy; the bundle is already sold out on Bethesda’s site, on Amazon, and elsewhere despite its hefty price tag. The giveaway may be your only chance to secure one for yourself without braving an online auction site.
The Starfield Chronomark Watch is a smart watch. It should sync to your phone, show notifications, and offer standard features typically associated with such accessories. It also looks sleek and stylish. Fans who roll up to a gathering with the watch on their wrist will immediately establish themselves as dedicated Starfield fans. If you want your chance to win, make sure to enter the Starfield watch giveaway at the earliest opportunity.

Do you, like me, have an inescapable compulsion to thoroughly survey every barren rock, volcanic wasteland, and frozen desert that Starfield takes you to? Do you, like me, also have a tendency to hoard resources for the game's crafting and research systems? Then you, like me, have probably also experienced the agonising tedium of walking veeery slowly towards a point of interest because you're severely over-encumbered and worried about accidentally killing yourself by running and draining all your O2. But guess what? You don't have to.
The world waited with bated breath for Bethesda’s next RPG epic — and, for a lot of us, they delivered.
The voice behind a ton of iconic Bethesda characters from The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion to Fallout 3 has made a return in Starfield.
Bethesda's Todd Howard and Xbox head Phil Spencer have been on the interview circuit for the launch of Starfield, as part of which the pair granted an interview to Bloomberg Technology. While the questions have a more general business focus and veer into things like Game Pass and the Elder Scrolls 6 (no new info), the show starts with Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow rather starkly putting an audience question to Howard: «why did you not optimise this game for PC?»
A new Starfield DLSS 3 graphical showcase has been released, showing the game running with over 20 mods in 8K.
During the First Contact quest, there’s the option to help the 200-year-old colony of humans floating outside Paradiso to find a new home. Though this all sounds very noble, it requires purchasing an expensive Grav Drive and helping them install it since they practically don’t know what it is. The money bit is quite easy, as you’ll just have to persuade your way out of it or throw some credits at a vendor. Installing a Grav Drive is quite a different story. I left the conversation with Amin, the ship’s engineer, with a feeling that resembles that of my visits to the car mechanic — I’m utterly baffled. So, here’s a guide providing step-by-step instructions on how to install the Grav Drive in the ship orbiting Paradiso in Starfield.
Religion is one of the themes in Starfield, and to help make the theme and the existing religions in the game feel more believable, Bethesda rehired one of its former writers who had left to become a Jesuit priest.
After debuting in early access for owners of the $100 Premium Edition (apparently over two million between PC and consoles), Starfield is officially out today for everyone else, including millions of Game Pass subscribers who are doubtlessly itching to play the new sci-fi roleplaying game made by Bethesda Game Studios.
Space is big and, for the most part, kind of dull. The heady thrill of setting foot on planets no human has ever seen aside, most of the celestial bodies in our universe are just big, complicated rocks when you get right down to it. For better or worse, that's a part of reality that Starfield deliberately tries to capture, according to a recent NYT interview (via VG247) with Ashley Cheng, Bethesda's managing director, and Todd Howard, who is Todd Howard.
Starfield asks players to do some pretty questionable things, but sabotaging a man’s personal and fulfilling hobby because his wife wants him to do better is where I should have drawn the line. Henry is a good man who’s running a local craft beer business, and he’s pretty successful, too. The issue is that his wife, Sarah, thinks Filburn Agricultural Systems enterprise holds the key to the family’s success, not that silly beer stuff. That’s why she entrusts you with the task of ruining a batch of beer, potentially sending Henry out of business.
