Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – Flying Battles, Outposts and More Revealed in New Gameplay

With Croteam’s The Talos Principle 2 out soon, some new extensive gameplay is available courtesy of IGN. Taking place about five hours into the story, it sees 1K and his allies happening upon the Megastructure while also solving different puzzles. Check it out below.

Gran Turismo 7 is nearing its second birthday, but Sony and Polyphony Digital are giving the game a bit of a revamp via the new “Spec II” update. This update will add a variety of new content, including 7 vehicles and the new Lake Louise track set in the Canadian Rockies, but it also offers a variety of other features as well, including new challenges, an updated version of the GT Sophy racing AI, and 4-player splitscreen multiplayer on PS5. Eight new games and over 50 updates are due on the platform before year's end.

Nintendo has revealed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass Wave 6, the final wave of DLC for the uber-popular kart racer, goes live next week on November 9. It includes eight new courses, including fan favorites like Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road, three new racers, a new music player feature, and more. With it being the final wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it brings the game's course count up to 96, which is double the 48 available in the base game. 

Gran Turismo 7 is getting its biggest update tomorrow in the form of Spec II (a.k.a update 1.40). The content drop, which is free, adds a new cooperative mode, seven new cars, a fresh track, and more.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 exclusively on October 20 and quickly became Sony's fastest-selling first-party game. While we loved the game – read Game Informer's Marvel's Spider-Man 2 review here – players have discovered bugs and issues leading to laughter and, in some cases, progress impediment. Fortunately, developer Insomniac Games has been quick to fix issues with updates, like one last week that fixed an incorrect flag and the infamous white cube model issue. 

As recent rumours suggested, hands-on previews for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have gone live across a number of outlets, with the likes of IGN, GameSpot, VGC, Game Informer, and others have published their impressions after a couple of hours with the game, amidst which several new gameplay details have also emerged.

It’s not an official theme or anything, but this week’s TV is all about fighting. There’s the two sides of superhero coming-of-age stories on Prime Video alone: the season finale of Gen V and the season premiere of Invincible. Over on Netflix there’s Blue Eye Samurai, a new show about one woman’s quest for revenge in Edo-era Japan, while on Paramount Plus the new Taylor Sheridan-produced show about Bass Reeves (David Oyelowo) is sure to bring on some Wild West violence. Tencent Games’ Honor of Kings: World has received a new gameplay trailer, revealing even more of the open-world action RPG’s mechanics. Players venture to an impressive city and meet companions before journeying into Jixia’s wilds to resolve a crisis, specifically to access the “Wonder.” Check it out below.

Apple has recently announced that it will be hosting its 'Scary Fast' event on Monday, October 30. The company is expected to launch its new M3 series of chips, which will deliver enhanced computational and graphical performance. Apple will also introduce upgraded versions of the MacBook Air and potentially the highly anticipated 24-inch iMac with M3 chips. According to the latest, Apple will announce the new M3 Macs on the 30th, but the launch could take place on Wednesday, November 8.

Developer Red Barrels has announced that the newest update for The Outlast Trials, themed after Halloween, is out now. The update brings with it a host of new content, including the new Court level part of the Trial Program 4: Truth and Justice.
