The Apple Watch Series X will mark the 10-year anniversary of the company’s first smartwatch, which was launched on September 9. Since then, Apple has been hard at work, introducing newer models with slight changes while also battling with the limited space it has to work with its wearable line. The upcoming model will be the culmination of all the technology giant’s efforts, and through a series of multiple rumors and reports, we get to see some detailed renders of the upcoming Apple Watch Series X while discussing what design and internal changes can be expected.
New band system of the Apple Watch Series X to feature a magnetic latching system, which will free up internal space to add more components
The Apple Watch Series X could be between 10-15 percent slimmer, according to information received by AppleTrack, with the renders created by the highly talented @concept_central. However, it will retain the Digital Crown, though there is a possibility that the Action Button that debuted on the Apple Watch Ultra gets added. Additionally, a new band system might debut on the Apple Watch Series X, where users can magnetically tether the accessory to the smartwatch. AppleTrack believes that this change will not just be for aesthetic purposes but also to save up on valuable internal space.
With the older band system, a small part of the frame on both sides of the Apple Watch gets used up to accommodate those straps. With the magnetic bands in place, the Apple Watch Series X will have more internal space to add a bigger battery or more sensors. We should also expect thinner bezels on the upcoming model but no microLED technology, as those panels are too expensive to justify using on this device. Instead, Apple is rumored to stick with an OLED screen, but it will be brighter and more power-efficient than the previous iterations.
One of the primary reasons to get an Apple Watch was to obtain access to a boatload of health and fitness features. Later this year, the Apple Watch Series X could be the first to offer support for blood pressure monitor. Unfortunately, thanks to the patent dispute with Masimo, there is no telling if the smartwatch will get an oximeter, so we have to wait for that update. As for battery life, for the past ten years, every Apple Watch model has boasted an 18-hour runtime, and that figure has yet to change. However, with the more efficient OLED, the Apple Watch Series X may have greater endurance than any version released before.
Remember, all of this information and the renders are based on a list of rumors and reports, so while some of these changes and upgrades might come true, treat all of this with a pinch of salt, and we will be back with more updates. You can check out

A few hours have passed since Apple officially unveiled the M4 and the first iPad Pro featuring the SoC has allegedly been benchmarked on Geekbench 6. Sadly, we cannot compare the single-core and multi-core scores against the M3 or the M2 because the leak revolves around the chipset’s Machine Learning performance, but that does not mean we cannot dive deep and check out its other specifications.
The M4 announcement during Apple’s ‘Let Loose’ event painted a rosy picture for potential buyers, and they would have likely believed that the latest iPad Pro models would have access to four performance and six efficiency cores. Unfortunately, that is not the case here because Apple cleverly hid the finer details from its audience, and to actually get the chipset with the 10-core CPU, you have to avoid the 256GB or 512GB models altogether. Hearing this is disappointing because the base model does not come cheap and is currently listed for pre-order at $999.
The new iPad Pro range has received incredible design and hardware improvements, with the inclusion of the M4 chipset and Tandem OLED making these premium tablets a cut above the rest, particularly the M2 models. Here, we take an in-depth look at the latest models and see what sets them apart from their own predecessors and the competition.
The M4 is expected to be announced later today during Apple’s ‘Let Loose’ event, and with the company already employing the use of TSMC’s 3nm technology before, we immediately assumed that the new silicon would be fabricated on this lithography. However, one report states that unlike the M3 powering various Macs and mass produced on the ‘N3B’ architecture, Apple’s M4 will switch to the updated ‘N3E’ process, resulting in various improvements. The report also mentions that the upcoming SoC will arrive in three variants, which is nothing unusual regarding Apple Silicon releases.
Huawei will reportedly unveil its first 5nm chipset for the Mate 70 flagship series in October later this year, but previous rumors did not divulge the official name of the silicon. Fortunately, just a short time passed, and new information came through, claiming that the SoC would be called Kirin 9100, and it obtained a score of 1.1 million in AnTuTu as part of its initial performance run.
The Galaxy S24 lineup was introduced with Samsung’s first AI-powered software suite called Galaxy AI. Given that the new models accounted for 53 percent of the Korean giant’s Q1 2024 operating profit, many would conclude that these features would be one reason for their popularity. Unfortunately, based on a separate rumor, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will disappoint in the battery department, as it sticks with the same 5,000mAh battery as previous-generation models. However, Samsung intends to raise that backup by up to 10 percent with something called ‘Battery AI.’
The Apple Vision Pro might not be a hit in the consumer market as updated shipment estimates have dropped to 400,000 to 450,000 units for 2024, but the $3,499 head-mounted wearable is a success in the enterprise division, with companies thoroughly impressed with what has been crammed into the device. During Apple’s Q2 2024 earnings, CEO Tim Cook revealed that half of Fortune 100 companies have purchased the AR headset, and it has proven itself to deliver immense utility in various applications.
Huawei was reported to have attained a new milestone as its Pura 70 lineup was said to be comprised of 90 percent components sourced from Chinese partners. This approach would have meant that shortly, the company would be even less dependent on foreign suppliers that are strongly influenced by the U.S., assuming the claim turned out true. The report mentioned that the Japanese electronics consultancy firm Fomalhaut Techno Solutions analyzed the latest smartphones, but the Chief Executive has denied this information.
Google continues to throw away hefty sums in Apple’s direction just to keep its search engine the default one on the technology giant’s devices. In an ongoing antitrust lawsuit against Alphabet by the U.S. Justice Department, it was revealed that the advertising behemoth paid Apple $20 billion in 2022.
The demand for Apple Vision Pro is slowly dwindling, but the company’s long-term goals have not budged an inch. A new report states that the successor to the $3,499 AR headset could launch sometime by the end of 2026. However, there is a huge glaring issue that Apple needs to address, or this product category will most likely never take off, and that is pricing. For that to happen, the technology giant needs to bring down its component costs, but with each current-generation unit estimated to set back Apple by $1,542, the road to a more affordable head-mounted wearable is long and hard.
Apple Vision Pro surveys have been sent out to users ever since the headset launched earlier this year, but on this occasion, the company has sent customers a multitude of questions, wanting to learn about their experience and usage habits. What is interesting about the latest in-depth survey is that it was sent out shortly after the technology giant reportedly cut production of its latest head-mounted wearable to an estimated 400,000 to 450,000 annual units.
Samsung did not follow a consistent launch schedule for its previous-generation Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, so it was uncertain when the company would unveil the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. Now, the latest rumor claims that the Korean giant is facing development problems with its top-end slate, but there is a surprise for all those waiting for the Galaxy S25 series next year. The premium tablet is said to launch alongside Samsung’s premier smartphone lineup in early 2025.
