The iPhone 16 lineup will house numerous changes from the current models as the devices are set to receive one of the biggest makeovers. However, Apple's design language has stagnated for a while as it failed to innovate further into the foldable category. The company is now expected to revert back to the iPhone X-like design for the upcoming iPhone 16, which has raised some eyebrows over the past few months. In the latest CAD renders, it is seen that the company is aiming for an iPhone X-like camera layout but with some nifty improvements like the Capture Button.
iPhone 16 CAD images highlight the Action Button and an iPhone X-like camera layout, but slightly bigger
The closer we get to the iPhone 16 launch, the clearer the design gets. There have been little to no leaks surrounding the device, but based on reports and rumors, it appears that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models will get a slight makeover to mark a differentiating element from the current models. Tipster Majin Bu has shared CAD images of the iPhone 16, which highlights the iPhone X-like camera layout and the new Capture Button.

It can be seen in these specific CAD images that the design language is pretty reminiscent of the iPhone X. You can also argue that the design looks pretty similar to the iPhone 12 as well, but without the sensors, the external plateau looks quite nostalgic. The camera plateau protrudes out of the chassis, which will house the necessary sensors. It can also be seen that the flash module will be located outside of the camera housing, unlike the current iPhone 15 models. However, the entire camera system appears to be quite bigger than before.
Other than the camera layout of the iPhone 16, the CAD images also show the rumored Capture button up close. It can be seen that the Capture Button will sit flush with the chassis of the device, and the details are in line with past rumors regarding the additional button. Furthermore, the position of the button below the Side or Power button is also evident in the images.
If you are not familiar, the entire iPhone 16 lineup is expected to get a new Capture Button which will respond to features related to the iPhone's video-taking capabilities. The button will be able to sense pressure in a way similar to that of DSLR cameras. Apple could also introduce Spatial Video on the standard iPhone 16 models.
Besides this, the company is also expected to make slight changes to the design of the iPhone 16 Pro. However, the devices are months away from launch at this stage, so we would advise you to take the news with a pinch of salt. Do you think

Poor Things is a pretty odd movie. The film, now available to stream on Hulu, and up for 11 Oscars, fits the expectations for a project from Yorgos Lanthimos, the absurdist director of such curiosities as The Lobster and The Favourite. But the movie isn’t half as odd as the 1992 novel it’s based on, by eccentric Scottish writer and artist Alasdair Gray.
