Amazon Fallout show officially renewed for second series

A player-run troupe of actors will be performing an adaptation of Richard III in Fallout 76, featuring a "ghoul" in the lead role. They're partly inspired by the recent Fallout TV show, which puts a jaded cowboy ghoul in a pivotal role and has lead to an increase in players of the online multiplayer RPG. This production will likely be more faithful to the bard than to Amazon Prime. It will open with the lines: "Now is the nuclear winter of our discontent."

HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed will launch for Xbox Series and Xbox One on May 31 for $29.99, developer Digital Cybercherries announced. Pre-orders are available now via Microsoft Store at a discounted price of $26.99.

Publisher Serenity Forge and developer Hack The Publisher have announced Centum, an “unreliable narrative-driven adventure” game for Xbox Series and PC (Steam). It will launch this summer.

The variety of farm types in Stardew Valley allow players to approach the game in a number of ways, including one fan who devised an intricately structured Forest Farm. With the release of Stardew Valley Update 1.6, both new and returning players have been jumping in to try out each of the different starter farms, leading many to share their farm layouts to assist and inspire others.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the acclaimed action-adventure title that launched exclusively on PC and PlayStation consoles in 2021, seems to be finally making its way to Xbox. While there's been no official announcement from developers Ember Lab or Microsoft, the game has seemingly been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board, or ESRB, in the US for Xbox Series consoles. Kena: Bridge of Spirits initially launched as a timed exclusive on PS4, PS5 and Epic Games Store on PC.

In a surprise to no one, Amazon's Fallout TV series has been officially renewed for a second season.

The release of Amazon's adaptation of Fallout has sparked a resurgence in the series and increased focus on the alt-history that binds it all together. Some fans recently raised concerns that events in the TV show seemingly retconned the events of the black sheep of the Fallout family, New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Amazon has now officially announced a second season of its overwhelmingly successful Fallout TV adaptation shall be shot and released on its Amazon Prime streaming service. A second batch of episodes appeared likely after the series was handed $25 million of Californian tax credits, but now it's official.

Fallout has been a smash hit for both Amazon and Bethesda, renewing interest in the games itself and turning the series into a widespread cultural phenomenon. Despite all of that success, and the general expectation from fans that the show will be coming back, it hadn't actually been renewed for a second season. Until now, that is.

Amazon's Fallout TV show has — a few minor controversies aside — been a hit with fans since arriving last week; but while the show has covered plenty of the video games' post-apocalyptic basics — from Pip-Boys and Power Armour to Vaults and Vault-Tec — not everything made the cut, and its creators have now explained they deliberately held back some «iconic» stuff, including Deathclaws, to better do them justice in a potential Season 2.
