Two asteroids may pass Earth by a narrow margin today, says NASA; Check size, speed and more

To discover, track and monitor asteroids, NASA has several tech marvels in place. The NEOWISE telescope, Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), Pans-STARRS1, and Catalina Sky Survey are some of the space and ground-based telescopes and satellites which the space agency uses. Since there is a historical precedent of asteroids impacting Earth and causing cataclysmic damage, it is imperative that we keep an eye on them for any potential impact scenarios. NASA has now revealed that two asteroids will pass Earth by a close margin today, April 4.

NASA says three asteroids will pass Earth by a close margin today; Check speed, size and more

Just yesterday, 3 asteroids passed Earth by a close margin. While none of them were considered “Potentially Hazardous Asteroids”, the biggest of them was 150 feet wide, making it almost as big as an aircraft. Such close approaches by celestial objects such as asteroids and comets serve as a reminder of the dangerous potential they possess and the need to continuously monitor their trajectories. NASA, with the help of its advanced ground and space-based satellites, has shed light on three asteroids that are expected to pass Earth today, March 28.

Hubble Tension: NASA’s James Webb Telescope, Hubble Space Telescope to find out truth about Universe’s expansion rate

Scientists believe that our universe is expanding at a rapid rate, but there is a problem. A puzzle of sorts is there and it needs to be solved which is called the "Hubble Tension," it avers that the current rate of the expansion of the universe is faster than what astronomers expect it to be. Therefore, to understand the Universe's expansion rate, NASA's James Webb Telescope and Hubble Space Telescope have joined hands to find the inconsistency in measurements. The telescope's high-resolution data will help researchers study the puzzle and find out what really is happening with our Universe. Check out how cosmologists are planning to solve the errors and bring accuracy.
