Supergiant Games’ technical test for Hades 2 will be coming to an end on April 29th. As promised, it went on for longer than a week and less than a month, but appears to have been successful. The team has identified and addressed “a number of key issues we weren’t able to find before.” After it ends, early access will launch “relatively soon” after.

Hades 2 developer Supergiant Games has announced that the technical test is almost over, and fans will soon be able to play the game through Early Access. Supermassive Games recently held a «technical test» earlier this month, which gave eager fans a chance to play Hades 2 early. This test period was different from Early Access, as the players were randomly selected from a pool who signed up for the chance, as opposed to being available to everyone.

Aside from some notable exceptions like Rogue Legacy 2 and Spelunky 2, not many roguelikes ever get a direct sequel, so there’s a lot of mystery surrounding how Hades 2 will be different from the first game. But there’s no need to dive into the depths of the Underworld yourself in search of answers, as we’ve pulled all the information we could from the jaws of Cerberus.

As many fans know, Assassin's Creed Red has been the codename for the franchise's open-world RPG set in Feudal Japan. Sometimes these code names carry implications about a title, such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla's codename being Kingdoms, representing the game's structure. Supergiant Games just treated Hades fans to an extensive look at the game's upcoming sequel.
