Honkai: Star Rail Confirms Firefly as Future Playable Character

A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing the next boss coming to the Simulated Universe in Version 2.3, adding playable character Aventurine as a new challenge. Debuting with the game's launch, the Simulated Universe has become one of the most popular permanent game modes for the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG. The Simulated Universe features multiple unique worlds for players to challenge for rewards like Stellar Jades and Planar Ornaments, as well as alternate challenges like «Swarm Disaster» and «Gold and Gears.» Now, a familiar face is set to be the game mode's next boss.

Jade isn't the only new character that will be introduced in Honkai: Star Rail's version 2.3, as the developers confirmed yesterday that Firefly, another five-star unit, will appear in the upcoming update. The banner order for version 2.3 has yet to be revealed, but it's believed that Firefly will arrive in the first phase, while Jade will be available in the second phase.

Honkai: Star Rail will introduce a brand-new endgame mode, Apocalyptic Shadow, in version 2.3 later this year. In Honkai: Star Rail, farming relics and ascension materials in Simulated Universe, Pure Fiction, and Memory of Chaos is a common endgame activity for most players. These combat-oriented modes set Trailblazers against enemies they have encountered before.

Honkai: Star Rail has recently confirmed that Firefly will join the playable cast as a five-star Fire character in version 2.3. With the addition of Gallagher, there are a total of seven Fire-type units in Honkai: Star Rail, each having their own unique skills. Their kits rely on the Burn debuff, which deals damage as long as it persists. They fit into the role of DPS or sub-DPS depending on their skills, path, and damage output.

Genshin Impact players will be able to unlock Gorou by completing the main event in 4.6. With version 4.6 of Genshin Impact now imminent, the HoYo team has revealed all the new content included in the latest update. It's confirmed that Arlecchino and Lyney will have an increased drop rate for three weeks. As in previous versions, a roster of weapons and four-star reruns will be added to limited-time banners.

After Aventurine’s event banner recently went live in Honkai: Star Rail, miHoYo has confirmed that Version 2.2’s Special Program livestream will air on April 26th at 4:30 AM PST. It will introduce new characters, Boothill and Robin while previewing the next main storyline, events and other rewards.
