Lords of the Fallen has the worst ambushes I've seen in an RPG, and players were so annoyed that the "entire" Soulslike has now reduced enemy density

Lords of the Fallen's latest update brings big changes to the fun-but-flawed Soulslike RPG, including a highly-requested nerf to enemy density and the game's absurdly overdone sneak attacks.

Starfield Has Dropped Below Skyrim In Player Count On Steam

At this point, you know how important Starfield has become to both Bethesda and Xbox. No matter what you think of the game, it was the biggest title Bethesda ever launched regarding sales and easily the biggest success that Xbox has had in a while, if not ever. Bethesda worked for eight years to make the title and tried to make it something that would blow people’s minds. At first, that seemed to be the case, as it followed some of the “hallmarks” of past Bethesda titles while being set in a new galaxy. But as time went on, people started to “open their eyes” and see what it was and what it wasn’t.

The Lost Boys paired vampire camp with real teenage fears

The Lost Boys’ poster made the prospect of becoming an undead creature of the night pretty attractive: “Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire.” But the movie’s story is full of teenage terrors: an older sibling in the grips of addiction, divorced parents, starting over in a strange new place, and contending with adults who won’t listen to your real, valid teenage problems.

Apple Expects M3 Macs to Regain Momentum in The Market as Mac Revenue Down 34 Percent Compared to Last Year

The results of Apple's earnings call highlight declining iPad revenue despite scoring higher than expected returns overall for all products. It was recently reported that Apple's iPad revenue is down by 10 percent for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2023. Additionally, the company expects the trend to continue to the next quarter as Apple failed to announce upgraded iPad models. Other than iPad revenue, Mac revenue also went down by 34 percent, but the next quarter could prove to be beneficial for Apple, all thanks to the new M3 series of chips.

Co-op RTS Dwarfheim is going offline, and the singleplayer mode can't be saved because nobody has the source code

The co-op RTS Dwarfheim came to the table back in 2020 with some interesting ideas. Unlike most games in the genre, in which one player controls one base and does battle with all comers, Dwarfheim enabled groups of up to three to run their show together, each with a unique role: Builder, Miner, or Warrior. But it never really caught fire through its early access period or after its full release in September 2021, and the team maintaining it has announced that it will close up shop for good at the end of November.

When it comes to cinematic cool, it’s hard to beat a leather jacket and a motorcycle. Think Marlon Brando in The Wild One. Arnie in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

YouTube Has Started Its Crusade Against Ad Blockers, with Blocking Happening All Over the World

In the world of the Internet, advertisements are the bread and butter for almost all the websites that we visit on a daily basis. Even something as massive as YouTube relies on ads, and since earlier this year, the company has been working on getting rid of ad blockers. It's finally time that the policy has gone global.

For the cast and crew of the Worlds Beyond Number D&D podcast, time is on their side

Recovering legendary magic items, negotiating with world-shaking creatures that wield godlike powers, and facing the enormous apparatus of a wizarding empire. The team behind Worlds Beyond Number’s inaugural Dungeons & Dragons actual-play podcast, The Wizard, the Witch, and the Wild One, have seemingly done it all — and they’ve done it all while playing their characters at level 1. For producer and audio maestro Taylor Moore, it’s at times just a little bit more than he can believe. During the recording of an upcoming episode, Moore said, he literally ran from the sound booth to the door of the playspace during a break in the action.

Remedy discuss Control 2 and the Max Payne remakes, while Sam Lake teases "huge budget dark gothic fantasy"

Fresh from the release of Alan Wake 2 - and apparently with a view to driving me nuts, because I haven't had a chance to play Alan Wake 2 yet - Remedy have shared some titbits about future projects. These include the modestly-known about Control 2, a sequel to the paranormal Brutalist telekinet 'em up that is seeing "good progress", and the forthcoming remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2, on which Remedy are collaborating with GTA and Max Payne 3 developer Rockstar.
