With the occasion of Valentine’s Day on the horizon, Palworld is organizing an interesting competition where the lucky winners will receive $100 in the form of a Steam gift card. The details of the event can be seen on a post found on Palworld’s official Twitter account and basically involve reposting the announcement or submitting Palword-themed fan art on the same social media platform.
Released in early access in January, Palworld has already turned out to be a huge hit. The genre-bending video game seemingly has something for everyone, incorporating multiple gameplay elements such as a fast-paced shooter combat system alongside an intuitive monster-capturing system. Its compelling building mechanics also allow Palword players to build impressive structures and bases. While players are continuously enjoying their time spent in Palworld, developer Pocketpair has found a way to reward players for their dedication and enthusiasm.
Palworld is offering $100 in Steam credit to four fortunate people who participate in the Valentine’s Day contest. There are two ways in which individuals can win the gift card. In the first method, participants have to repost Palworld’s giveaway post on Twitter, while also liking and following it. For an extra chance of winning, Twitter users can also reply or post their favorite Pal while also including the #PalGiveaway hashtag in their response. The second way requires users to submit any type of fan art involving Palworld while adding the #PalworldArt and #PalGiveaway hashtags to their submissions.
Two winners will be chosen via each of these methods. The Palworld contest started on February 9th and it will end on February 16th, 2:00 AM (UTC). Countless Twitter users have already started submitting their entries to the contest as unique fan art depicting many interesting Pals can be noticed in the post’s comment section. A few others decided to poke fun at the controversial ongoing comparison between Pokemon and Palworld as they posted pictures of Pokemon instead of Pals.
The monster-taming survival game is currently enjoying a tremendous amount of popularity on Steam, with more than 200,000 Palworld players bestowing “Very Positive” ratings on the title’s page. Palworld’s developers seem to have adopted a “strike while the iron is hot” mentality as the Valentine’s Day giveaway might further boost the title’s popularity. While fans are undoubtedly excited about the Palworld contest, it remains to be seen whether the sweepstakes will earn Palworld more hype.
Pocket Pair's Palworld is a creature-collection game set in an open-world. Entering early access on January 19, 2024, the project blends survival, building, farming, monster breeding, and shooter elements.

As time goes by, it really does seem like there's a Soulslike for every occasion: Lies Of P for those who prefer their fairy tales more on the messed up side, Steelrising for those who like France and robots, Lords Of The Fallen for those who like spectral moths and lanterns. Well, another joins the fray in Enotria: The Last Song, an Italian-inspired Soulslike with the loveliest setting I've seen in a while.

What's a better Valentine's present for the one you love than a glance into the universe's cosmic wonders? In a celestial gesture, NASA shared a charming snapshot of a cosmic "bloom" on their Instagram web page. The picture showcases NGC 3256, a celestial spiral galaxy positioned around one hundred twenty million light-years away. This stunning cosmic spectacle is the final result of a celestial come across, in which big spiral galaxies collided and merged around 500 million years ago, creating a tremendous display of cosmic beauty.

So, did you wake up today hoping that there would be an announcement of a Nintendo Direct? If you did, you weren’t alone in that desire or belief. Throughout the last two weeks, fans have heard rumors non-stop about a Direct that was likely to happen this month, and while it started out with “basic rumors,” things slowly started to shift. First, it was supposed to be a “standard Direct,” then it shifted to possibly being a “Partner’s Showcase,” and maybe even a “mini” Direct! After that, release date rumors sprouted out, and several claimed that the Direct would arrive either on Valentine’s Day or the day after. If you can’t tell, neither happened.
We've eschewed any Valentine's theming this year, but Edwin put this in our news queue last night as a sort of dare for our evening shift, and let the record show I am less of a coward than Graham Smith. The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, a visual novel Tarot-themed card game from perennial (perhaps perineal, in this case) favourites Deconstructeam, was praised by Edwin in his review, and I was going to use the same strapline for this news post had he not got there first. Because now, in time for the season of romance, they've teamed up with sex toy purveyors Uberrime to create a frankly prohibitively massive dildo as an official tie-in for the game, which can be won in a free competition by three lucky people living in either the UK, EU, US or Canada (as in, they each win their own dildo; they don't have to time share).
Presumably not ready to leave Attack on Titan behind after its anime finale, one Palworld player has recreated the series' iconic central city on a massive scale, purportedly without the use of any mods to make things easier.
