Unlocking items on 's technology tree isn't always easy, but sometimes, it's worth the effort. The Technology tree is one of many ways players progress through. It consists of 50 tiers, each one containing four to six items that can be purchased with Technology Points. These are earned as a player character levels up, completes dungeons, and unlocks new fast travel points. Different Technologies have different unlock costs, which generally get steeper as they go up in rank. Some Technologies are unlocked by leveling up, while others have specific requirements like catching certain Pals.
Technologies range from the cosmetic to the practical, including everything from weapons to base workshops to Pal equipment. Even after it's unlocked, though, Technologies require crafting. This may mean gathering tons of rare materials, which can be monotonous and take up a lot of time. While some Technologies aren't worth all that work, others pay for themselves almost immediately. Here are ten of the most worthwhile unlockables on the Palworld Technology tree.
One of the earlier Technologies players can unlock is the Mega Glider, which does exactly what it says on the tin. It's a wing-shaped device similar to 's paraglider, allowing players to ride the wind. It doesn't allow for true flight — players can't ascend, and will slowly drop in altitude the further they go. However, it can help in crossing large gaps quickly, making it easier to scout and explore far-off locations.
Some flying Pals can also help the player character glide by hanging onto them with their talons. However, these are high-level Pals and may take a while to catch. Until then, the Mega Glider works just as well, and doesn't take up a slot in the party.
One of the best early-game Pals a player can catch is Pengullet, a water- and frost-elemental penguin. Pengullet is pretty handy in a fight, and useful at camp with its ability to water plants and keep perishables cool. However, a certain Technology tree item can make a Pengullet even better: Pengullet's Rocket Launcher, unlocked at level 17. Unlike most Pal weapons, which are equipped by the requisite Pals, this rocket launcher actually fires a Pengullet from its barrel. This immediately incapacitates the Pengullet, but does a lot of damage. It's also just pure chaotic fun.
It can be difficult to catch even low-level Pals. Players will need to bring their HP incredibly low before it's even worth lobbing a Pal Sphere, and with the inability to control summoned Pals directly, it's sometimes tough to stop them from killing wild Pals outright. Thankfully, this Technology makes that much easier. The Stun Baton increases the likelihood of catching a Pal when they're hit. This can be used to remove the

players are teaming up to kill bugs, spread democracy, and, just maybe, to end the console wars once and for all. As a co-op game, in which the threats are much bigger and stronger than a single player could ever hope to be, teamwork is in its very nature. While things like teamkilling do happen in , its multiplayer meta focuses on communication and collaboration.
The best ending is incredibly rare. There are something like 17,000 possible endings to in the wide variety of quests, dialogues, and epilogues that can play out in its final chapters. Some are good, some are bad, and some are neutral, but they all come with at least a little bit of sacrifice. Whether it's choosing one lover over the other or one side of the central conflict, players are always missing out on something; there's no way to see absolutely everything on a first playthrough.
Not every item on the Technology tree is worth the effort it takes to unlock. Players primarily gain access to new features by buying nodes on 's Technology tree. They gain a certain number of Technology points each time they level up, and can gain more quickly by finding and activating fast travel waypoints. Players can also get Ancient Technology points, required to unlock rarer items on the tree, by beating bosses. Once any Technology is unlocked, it also must be crafted, which may require specialty tools and rare materials.
innovates by blurring the lines between roguelikes and survival games. As the new kid on the block in the already overcrowded neighborhood that is the survival genre, has a lot of competition. It has to do something to set itself apart. Its vaguely Victorian aesthetic and steampunk influences help, but that's not enough to attract a wide player base and maintain it long-term. Instead, its unique gameplay concepts are its biggest draw.

With Patch 6 now live, there's never been a time to revisit . This is the first major update the game has gotten since 's Patch 5 last November, most infamous for introducing the ultra-hard Honour difficulty mode. But where Patch 5 sought to find cruel and unusual ways to punish players, Patch 6 is all about love — apropos of its just-after-Valentine's release date. Still, that doesn't mean there's nothing in it for those who prefer to spend their nights at camp alone.
Tired of constant sulfur mining in ? One endgame Pal can be a big help — and not in the way one might expect. As an open-world survival game with heavy emphasis on crafting, inevitably involves a lot of resource gathering. It's a big part of the gameplay loop: set a goal, track down the materials for it, craft it, and reap the benefits. This becomes especially prevalent in the mid-late game, when players start regularly crafting ammo and need a constant supply of sulfur.
A Palworld player made a grave mistake when trying to show off the game's Decal Gun, accidentally destroying their hard-built house in the process.
